From the time I graduated Culinary School with my Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management from Kendall College in Chicago, to today, I have seen the food world unfold and expand more than I had ever thought possible. I created Line2Lab to coach and mentor food industry people into the product development sector with the intent of bridging any gaps with my experiences and resources to find the right path for everyone.
It was not by accident that I have grown from a Line Cook to a successful Corporate Research Chef.
I was lucky...like right place right time lucky and I had no help prior. Once I realized there was more to life than being "just a cook" everything changed, and fast. Now, I am using all that I have learned and every resource at my fingertips to help educate and develop others in the Research & Development Industry. Whether you are a student, seasoned chef, or have always had a burning passion to do something with food there's still time to realize your true calling and reach your full potential.
Uncover what your strengths are and what you will need to do to get on the correct path that works with your lifestyle. Use the resources I have compiled over the years to help guide you in a direction that makes sense for you in your life right now and the future you will formulate. Seriously, what exactly are you waiting for? Stop waiting and start living your best life.
Jaime, I don't believe you...I get it.
How could anyone possibly be in the food industry, or this far along in a degree program and NOT know about this amazing world of Research & Development? You are probably asking yourself "Why didn't they teach me about this in Culinary School??" or "How can I be apart of these amazing 9-5, home with the family on holidays, good paying, insurance providing opportunities that are available to me??
No more bull sh*t, it's time for REAL change.
Like anything in life, timing will never seem perfect, you will have too much to do at home, you will be having a bad hair day or "fill in the blank here" with another excuse as to why you stopped mattering to yourself. Stop holding yourself back and start living the life you were always meant to. When you are ready to take the first step and formulate your future for the better, I am here to help, always.
